I have done some research on SD Card adaptors. I have a digital camera that only accepts the original standard SD Card. The maximum capacity for this standard is only 2GB.

Then I read about SD Card adaptors that are compatible with my digital camera. A MicroSD Card is slotted into the device and is basically a card within a card.

My question is whether my digital camera will recognise an SD Card adaptor with a MicroSD Card with a capacity beyond 2GB.

I would like to use this SD Card adaptor on my PC and digital camera, and that is why I am trying to get around the limitations.

Pretty sure the Micro SD to SD adapters are "dumb" adapters; there is no logic inside them. Whether or not your camera will recognize SD cards or micro SD cards greater than 2GB depends on solely on the camera... and you are saying that it won't.

basically a micro sd card is a small version of a full size sd card with a slot. if the camera can only use a max of 2gb it doesnt matter what card you put in it as the capacity will still be 2gb

how old is the camera. im guessing quite a few years as the average capacity now is 16gb
im guessing when the camera was produced a 2gb card was the top of the range card so the only way to find out is to try a higher gb card to see if it will work.

They are dumb adapters, just wiring to change the pin layout form that of microSD to full SD.
