Well OK I'm just going to buy a cheap DVB one for now as they don't really sell what I want(PC World in the UK currently selling off couple Hauppauge models soon to be discontinued?maybe due to size? eg:WinTV-PVRUSB2(analog only) & Nova-T-USB 2(software encoding) both £49.99 ).
Just a couple points & questions,
software encoding ones take up a lot of CPU power
,hardware encoding saves the CPU but does it tax the system bus any more or less than software
I saw mention of someone's high speed connection dropping from 600 to 80 k/s while watching TV.What's an expresscard anyway,I've got a slot fr one but not seen anything for it.
Ideal for me would be twin DVB tuner with hardware divx/mpg4 encoding as this would surely minimise info. transfer as well as saving storage space?Only place to get one of those seems to be Japan though! When on the road a single analog would do the trick as apparently digital reception in the UK isn't strong enough for the mini-aerials supplied even with the twin-ariel/diversity thing they do now.

Lots of threads on the topic. If you are looking for HD-OTA (Over the Air) then make sure you get a tuner that will decode the correct signal (for the UK - where you are).
