    Stop Cursor Automatic Action

    Dear All
As a new member, please excuse me if I am repeating a previous question but I can't find it anywhere on the site.

I have a Dell Latitude D505 laptop and the cursor is driving me wild. If I hover it above certain icons, it performs the action associated with that action without my pressing the mouse key. For example if I am in Outlook Express and I hover the cursor above the delete icon, it deletes the email highlighted. If I leave it hovering above the delete key by mistake it then deletes the next email which I didn't want it to do. It does this with numerous icons.

Is there any way I can turn this automatic action off so that I have to press the mouse key every time to perform an action. I would feel much happier with it this way.

    Many thanks

    DASONIA

you could disable the touch click on your pad. i think that might help because I use outlook as well, and when im typing sometimes I accidentally hit hte touchpad and it clicks on where ever it is...

not sure if thats what will help, but thats all I can think of.

    cheers

If you're using the Synaptics driver, open the control panel at the system tray, look around and there might be an option somewhere named PalmCheck. Set it to a higher setting so that it wouldn't be accidentally set-off by your palms or fingers brushing.

Of course if you really just leave it as it is without touching it whatsoever and it still does that thing, then you might have a different problem altogether. Also try updating your touchpad driver.
