Is it best to store my notebook battery with a full charged or fully discharged (no charge, 0%)?

I think I remember reading somewhere that it's better to store it fully discharged but I can't remember where.

    Thanks,
    -BassKozz

Search the forum for info about this question. Store the battery at a cool place (even a fridge/freezer), 40% charged.

I placed the battery in an ESD bag, then in a ziplock bag, and placed it in the fridge.

Is it ok that I put it in an ESD bag?

Well this is true only if there is moisture in the or around the battery, if you put the battery in a ziplock and then put it in the freezer no moisture, but if you put it in the fridge you most certainly would accumulate moisture, which is not very good for the battery.

just make sure that when you get it out you leave it at room temp to warm up for a few hours (overnight probably).

got a q: I have 2 batts ( one 6 and one 9 cell) right now, and I only need one. When I'm in college I plan to use the one (the 9 cell) or both. q is, which one should I keep in storage? I'll def. be using the 9-cell more in college b/c of its batter life. I guess the question is, what's better for a battery: keeping it constantly charged for 2 months or storing it in the fridge at 40percent?

If you don't plan on using the battery for 2 months, then it would be better to store it in a cool and dark place. Don't put your battery in the fridge if you are not going to use it for a week or so. This type of storage suggests longer periods of not-using the battery.
For example, I use my laptop primarily on the desk with the AC adaptor. There are weeks when I don't use the battery at all but I don't take it out because it may happen that I need it tomorrow.
