i just bought a seagate freeagent 500 gig external.
had to return it because of a major crack in the case lol
got a new one
and now that im backing stuff up, if i explore the drive, it doesnt store things like windows does
ya know
C->users->user-Music
or whatever it is to do it
its like
F->Seagate->Backup->backup files->backupfiles #->items.
is that going to make it hard to recover info if i have to recover from the drive?
it stores my music in several folders, instead of like
"MUSIC" and then the artists and then songs
its like
backup file 1->itunes->itunes music->artists->songs
and its split between "backup folders"
is this a problem?
instead of letting windows backup my stuff should i just copy & paste?

I don't think it would be a problem, it might take up hours of your time if you need to go through every folder and take the song and put it into a folder.
And I think copy and paste is easier. You know what is being backed-up and what is not. I don't trust those backup programs, but maybe that's just me. If you would rather use a backup application find one that doesn't use weird folder organization, you don't have to use the manufacturers software.
Strange hdd organization
