    Hi there,

I have a toshiba satellite A40 which takes a 200-pin DDR module (which ive checked int he speicifications as well as by physically checking the current module).

I recently bought a 1gb kingston module (again 200pin ddr NOT ddr2) to install however it wont fit! it seems the notch is slightly off from where it should be. ive even taken the current module out and compared them and the kingston ram has the notch slightly off, has anyone experienced a problem like this and is there anything i can do about it? if i cant then how can i be sure that this wont happen if i buy a different module to replace it?

    thanks in advance

Flip the piece of RAM in the opposite direction.
