I can see an irregular shaped white line/ streak in my Vaio LCD. I don't know when it started to appear. It is easily visible in the lower left corner of the LCD under a white background. It is also more visible when viewing the LCD at an angle from the top. The line always remains white.
Does anyone know what might be the issue?

does it come up on an external monitor because if it doesnt then there is something wrong with your screen. have you dropped your laptop lately or anything like that which could damage your screen. if the line does come up on an external monitor then it is something to do with the gpu in your laptop

is it is just at the corner it could also be the backliht if a small crack has appeared in the casing of your screen and some light could be leaking out

I don't have an external monitor to test. I didn't do anything to damage the screen. The streak is not at the edge of the screen (as the backlight), but at an inch away from the edge. I will connect to an external monitor to rule out GPU defect.

Looks like a scratch, maybe some damaged/stuck pixels.

Man, the way you described it, I though there was gonna be a crack and like LCD blood.

LOL, I didn't describe anything like that. Do you think those pixels can be brought back to life? with the pixel fixing programs?

If it's what I think it is, bright spots like that are usually hardware damage caused by some sort of pressure on the LCD. In general I don't think there's a way to fix it without replacing the LCD
