Might get a hard drive soon. Looks like all the good deals are for SATA instead of IDE. My computer is old and naturally doesn't have SATA...but as long as the interface between the computer and the enclosure is USB, there shouldn't be a problem right?

I have an IDE enclosure with a HD in it...this is the enclosure http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817145343

I've had nothing but great things to say about it, and would want a comparable SATA one, comparable in build quality, reliability, size, and heat management.

    Any thoughts? Thanks a bunch.

Vantec and CoolerMaster both have very impressive SATA enclosures, check them out as well.

I have a couple Bytecc enclosures (both over 3 years old) and they have served me well.
