I currently have a Patriot Wildfire 120GB set up as the primary drive and a 750GB platter drive for storage. Because my laptop is so new and I really haven't had a chance to transfer any of my documents and pics yet from my external drive, the 750GB secondary is untouched. I was thinking about taking advantage of the Newegg sales and picking up either a Patriot Wildfire 240GB, Crucial M4 256GB or Samsung 830 256GB to replace the 750GB secondary drive. That way, I am thinking I can put some games on the secondary if the primary fills up...and I'll still benefit from super fast SSD load times. I normally would like to have the larger drive in the primary position with the OS on it...but I want to avoid having to transfer the OS from the 120GB to the new one...My question is....will this really be a simple plug and play swap out since my 750GB secondary is empty as can be? Will I have to change anything at all in the bios or can I just take the 750GB platter out ..and plop the new SSD in? I appreciate all your opinions! Thanks!
