Hey guys, I just bought a schenker xmg laptop, totally awesome, but I have a small problem with it.

For whatever reason the Y and Z keys are swapped, and I really dont want to send my notebook back and wait another month just for 2 keys.

How can I proceed swapping the keys? Can you tell me step by step what to do or link me to a tutorial?

Here is a pic of my notebook´s keyboard: http://www.zecon.de/bild/schenker-xmg-p501-9us-2-619.jpg (link because of size)

    Physically removed and swapped.
I basically want to take off the Y and Z keys, swap them and put them back in.

hmm, seems you have asked at other forums.

TBH, I can only suggest send it back. You pull it off and break it you are screwed.

Patience is a virtue, Its hard but you have to do it sometimes. Just send it back and be done with it.

Are there no stickers that I can buy and put onto the keys? Or just paint them over with the right letter....

I really can´t send it back, I would be left without PC for a month or more, and I have work to do...

Just don't look at the keys? And the keys on the linked picture seems correct for a English layout. Do you have a German layout with the keys swapped or something like that?

Removing and reinserting keys for notebook keyboards are often easy however _sometimes_ the scissor mechanism holding the key can get damaged. Depending on the design one should take either the upper or the lower edge of the key and bend upwards until the key pops out. To reinsert it slide the edge opposite the one you bent up into position and press on the other edge (= the one bent up earlier). Hard to explain but very easy to do :)
