Hello! I have notebook Sylvania gnet 13001 and have pre-ordered Windows 7 Home premium. Today I realised, that the graphics adapter is Windows Aero user interface not capable. My display adapter is: VIA/S3G UniChrome Pro II IGP. WIll the installation affect e.g.an youtube video , or DVD video from usb DVD drive? Is there a risk, that there will be even no-signal-information on the screen?
Besides, the WIndows 7 Upgrade Advisor says, my machine is perfect for Windows 7, except of this Aero issue.
Thank you for your advice in advance. Maciej

Hey, sorry if this is not a professional advice, I'd like just to share my own experience. I have the same notebook + Windows XP. After starting Windows Live Mail, Spy Sweeper, Live Messenger and IE 8 my machine works awfully slow, so I am thinking about a new system (I know it is a risk to buy Windows 7, as it may not improove the performance, but at least it will be the NEWEST system ^^) . I also used Windows 7 advisor, and of course it told the same, you've read. I googled inensively all of the forums arround the net and I've decided, that I'm gonna risk and will install Windows 7 without changing the video card (in such a small notebook it might be even impossible, or extremely expensive). It seems, that the only risk is having less showy interface... the incompatibility with Aero will affect the special effects only, as far as the users of other forums are telling the truth, I didn't see any official information about this model's compatibility with W 7. Good luck!
