hmm so lets start a sane (if only slightly more so) discussion here about the apple thing.

so at what point will there be patent infringement or whatever, based on the actual gestures?
and when will apple patent such an advanced gesturing interface that we can get the government to sue them for monopolizing??

    okgo :p

Exactly, a nice multi page Apple war like the other thread would be nice. ;)

    Okay, I'll bite: :)

I love the ThinkPAD TrackPoint and it took me years to get used to touchpads (what a waste of 'pointing' time... ugh!). The Asus U30Jc is the best I've used so far and I can even occasionally use it without a mouse plugged in. (Progress - for me...).

If these new clickpads continue this improvement I've seen/felt with the Asus Elan PS/2 Port smartpad in Windows 7 x64 Ultimate - and - I finally get used to all their new functionality; then I may even be able to navigate the inferior Mac O/S when I'm forced to use it with certain clients (thankfully only a few times a month).

    How's :D :p :D that?

I'd love one of those. My CR48 has a great touchpad and I wish my Sony did too.

    Hungryman,

how do you like the Chrome laptop? not just the hardware/clickpad but the Chrome software? Do you see it replacing Windows or OS anytime soon?

Been Googling the Synaptics ClickPad Series 3 over 4 months. The Sammy is too small for me. Looking for a 15 inch. Forcing myself to hold off on a Macbook.

I like it very much. People don't seem to realize that it does virtually everything that a windows netbook does. Will it target windows users? Perhaps... I'd certainly buy one over a windows OS netbook. I think it'll compete on two ends, with windows 7 netbooks and with tablets (Assuming it gets sold with a data plan)
