Hey there,
I'm wondering if my synaptics touch pad on my acer timeline can scroll like the macs do - not just Vertical or Horizontal. I'm on 14.0.3 right now and I dont see that functionality anywhere.
Thanks

so uh [sarcasm] acer timeline 14.0.3?
I ask because multitouch is a hardware function.
Not that I would know you touchpad model based on that. If it didn't come with windows 7 then it almost definitely doesn't support it.
There is a good chance you could upgrade it, thats a new idea to me but it would be pretty awesome... -

It is a hardware function, but most all touchpads made since 2007 support it. The drivers just don't have that functionality because Windows 7 is daft when it comes to multitouch trackpads. 14.0.3 is a Synaptics driver release, so I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that the timeline he has, has a Synaptics touchpad. In which case you're in luck. The Synaptics pads have modified drivers floating around that enables a good deal of multi-touch gestures, many of which are just like the Macbook's.
Synaptics two finger scrolling in any direction (Like Mac)?
