Ok - I've been poking around and can't find anything really...
What will be the difference between the t2300 and the t2300E ?
I just ordered a Dell and the two options were available for the same price - but the "E" delays the ship-date. Is it worth the delay to wait an extra 2 weeks?
I went for the delay (don't need the machine urgently) because I figure they've got to be replacing the 2300 for a reason....
Any info/links/insight you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

The T2300E will be cheaper, I think.

To answer my own question, reading what I believe is a Dutch site, it seems the T2300E will not support virtulization technology, but may be better for laptops.

However, I may *want* the VT - I'm planning on running VM-ware with more than one OS on the machine.... Guess I'm calling Dell later. -
ARRRGGGHHH!! I'm going to order a Dell Latitude D620 tommorow, and I'm trying to decide between the T2300E or the T2400, which is a $60 upgrade. On one part of Intel's website it shows the T2300E as running at 31W, and on another part it shows it as running at 15W. I can't find ANY information on this thing! I don't really care about a minor clock speed increase, and I don't think I'll be running more than one OS at once, but who knows. Will the slower processor give me more battery life?

Virtualization is generally not used by the general public end-user. That said, the T2300E is probably the better choice between the 2300 vs 2300E. But if you do plan to use virtualization such as VMWare, then you do not want the E version.
And looking at Intel's specs from their site, the T2300 uses 31W while the T2300E uses 15W.
In regards to battery, the E version will give a little more battery life since it uses less wattage.
T2300 vs T2300E ?
