Hello!
I am buying a low budget notebook, which i am going to use for office tasks and some photoshop and dreamweaver web designing.
Now i do not know which cpu should i take. Both notebooks (both Lenovo 3000 N200)have 2 gigs of ram and a X3100. The main difference is the cpu T2370/T5450 and hdd 120gb/160gb.
Now i can not decide if the T5450/160gb is worth paying 100 more? Is the performace of the c2d much more better than cd?
tnx for all you answers!

tnx! but i am concered if the cs3 will run smoothly on it...what do you think?
-
It ran fine on my old T2400 Yonah and my T5450 so the 2370 should be fine. As stated you can get some great deals for the T7500-8300 down the road. I would make sure that you have easy acess to the CPU..

thx for all! but i think i am not going to upgrade it like 2 years, because of the warranty

-
tnx, that is what i wanted to hear! Because my budget is like 550€ but i was thinking of giving this 70€ more if it is worth. I do not mind about the hdd and 80gb would be enough for me, so i was just looking at the cpu power. But if there is not much difference i will buy the t2370.

t2370 is in fact t5300 with the second half of cache disabled due to not passing QC. t2330, t2370, t2390 are exactly the same as t5200, t5300 and t5400, Just slightly crippled 8)

If by CS3 you are talking about Photoshop, not After Effects or anything of that sort, I have it running on a Dothan Pentium-M without issue (so long as there is nothing else intensive running)
You're fine either way. -
The CPU's performance will be so very close. There are tasks the 2370 would actually be faster on than 5450 because of clocks. Then again 5450 will be faster on others because twice the L2. But really with out a stopwatch you won't be able to tell. Know on to HDD's, well 100€ in the States would get you a 320GB @5400 with change.

tnx for all your replies! because of you i am gonna save 100€ =)

i doubt that you can put a 8300 or a 7500 into a motherboard running a T2000 range though, im not sure.. check around
-
Yes he can. I upgraded my T2370 with T7500. T2370 is socket P and so it is T7500 and other faster socket P based CPUs.

Exactly. By the time the Montevina CPUs will come out, the T7 series will be dirt cheap.
