Is the performance increase of the T2500 (2.0Ghz) significantly noticable over the T2400 (1.83Ghz)?

I dont know much about notebook's but I have my opinion's, I'd think It would make some difference on the CPU but I dont know how noticable it would be. Sorry If i didn't help...

Not really, i doubt you would notice any increase at all, especially in gaming. The only time you would notice it is if you were doing a lot of media encoding, otherwise save your money and buy some extra RAM or a faster HD - which would give you noticable performance gains
-
The difference is not noticeable for everyday use as most core duo spend most of their time downclocked to save power. Unless you will be stressing you laptop to the max its not a worthwhile upgrade. As mentioned before RAM or HD speed will give a noticeable boost.

It is only going to sound like an echo to gethin and radditz so i'll save you some time and not repeat them. Basically, there is little difference for the extra ~$200 that you will be dishing out.

well in gaming it will make a slight difference, as well as for multithreaded games and games that have dual core patches it will help. Or doing alot of heavy CADD or programing like me youll see a difference. But for the everyday average user you wont see a lick of difference.

What they're all saying is " no, it won't make a difference" Even when encoding and such the difference would be marginal, not worth the extra money.

Meh, for every upgrade, people say there isn't much difference and it's not worth the upgrade. From t2300 to t2400, no big difference. from t2400 to t2500, no big difference. from t2500 to t2600, no big difference.... If this was such the case, no one would get above a t2300..
I don't know what kind of speed you're looking for, but if I got a core duo, I wouldn't get anything below t2500.
T2400 or T2500?
