Is there a big difference in system efficentcy and performance if you have a T2600 rather then a T2500?

Probably not. I'd go for a faster HDD or more RAM. Much cheaper and better.

Well the notebok im looking at has 100GB 7,200 RPM and 2GB memory, so thats fine im just curious because i can get the exact same notebook for 100 more in T2600 rather then T2500 :)

Only $100 more? That's not too bad. It's only a 166MHz difference between the two, and you'll have bragging rights ;) But it's not going to have a noticeable effect on the machine past benchmarks.

Save that $100. Go for the T2500. The performance difference is not all that much.

The only downside is that even though its 100 more the Graphics card drops to Geforce 7600 rather then save the 100 and get a X1600 ATI, very very weird i find.

Depends on what you consider "drops". The 7600 doesn't benchmark as well, but it performs pretty closely. I personally prefer NVidia because their drivers are so much better.

'Nuff said. The T2500 is more than powerful enough for just about anything.

Not to mention The T2600 has 2.16GHz wich i justiced now, so even though the grpahic card benchmarks drop your getting a better CPU, may i remind you i dont know how much of an impact that would make overall on the CPU.
Ill make anyother post according to that issue.

yeah not worth the extra $100, but youl get bragging rights. Me I want to get every last ounce of power so I will be going for it over a t2500.

Even if you play intense games, the video card will most likely be your bottleneck, not the processor.

I realize that but if you have a 2.16Ghz rather then 2.0Ghz will you notice difference in multi-taksing and performance?

No, you won't notice a difference and to be honest, I don't even think it will benefits anything.

It might shave a couple seconds off video-encoding and other specifically CPU-intensive applications, but in general use, it's kind of a waste. You can't even get bragging rights with it anymore since the new Core 2 Duo mobile CPUs are out.

It aint worth it, the t2500 is fast enough, you will notice no difference in day to day activites, only if your media encoding (heavily) and you really need those extra seconds in your life, is the t2600 worth it.
