I don't have any experience with the specific processors mentioned but I do have experience with similiar proessors - TL-60(2Ghz Turion) and T3200(2 Ghz/1MB Cache/667Mhz Bus) and a T5800(2ghz/2MB Cache/800Mhz Bus).

I would prefer the Pentium Dual Core over the AMD. Why?

Pentium Dual Core performance is pretty similiar to their Core 2 Duo counterparts. It is much faster than the Turions. Battery life was also more but from what i understand AMD added some additional power saving features in their newer processors.

In general AMD has not changed their mobile processor architecture for the last couple of years except for die shrinks and addition of power saving features. Essentially all ZM, QL, etc should work similiar to the original turions.
