I currently have 256mb of PC2700 333mhz ddr sdram. I am wanting to add another stick of 512mb. Are there certain brands to stay away from? I am going to go through www.newegg.com to order it. Thanks for the help

Well, I can't tell you what to stay away from, but I can tell you what's good. I have a 512MB stick of PC2700 RAM - Patriot Signature series. Works very well, and its quite fast. Kingston was always trusted, and Crucial is also good.

    Happy buying!

I'll add corsair to chazman's list of good brands. They are usually cheaper and offer the same level of reliability.

I have Kingmax. Had no problems at all with them since I got them 4 months ago, but that's my only experience with them, so I am not gonna recommend them!
