Well, I've toyed a little with OC'ing desktops before, but, having zero experience of any kind with laptops, I was wondering if there was anything special I should take into consideration with attempting to OC my ASUS F8 Series F8Sn-A1 NoteBook ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220299) that I just ordered, and also if the T5450 is particularly good or bad for OCing in general. Also, if anyone could recommend any particular programs making OC'ing a Vista equipped laptop easier... it would be much appreciated![]()

Mobile processors CANNOT / SHOULD not be OCed

usually the BIOS is locked, so ur outta luck.

Only thing you can use is something like ClockGen or SetFSB, which are software FSB modifiers, but the problem is finding the correct PLL clock generator model number.
Other than that, your out of luck. No BIOS setting available like desktop boards. -
I'll have to agree with D3X on this. I'm still trying to find the correct PLL for my http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834115453 .
I've even tried each one individually with no success. I'm currently saving towards getting an unlocked Core2Extreme, if this fails in the end. -
SetFSB is a tad better with the number of different PLL versions, but it's a little more of a hassle because each PLL version comes with another version of SetFSB executable. It took me awhile to find my W3V PLL, but it happened to work on a similar model from the ASUS V6V. So you might want to look for a similar ACer model as they would likely use the same parts.

Warlord, you might want to try SetFSB 2.0.b.20c as it supports the Asus G1S PLL Clock Gen, it may just work with the F8.
