Is there a noticeable difference between these two processors? I ordered a Lenovo T400 last week with the T5670 , and of course I'm now having buyers remorse as I could get a Lenovo R400 with a T5870, larger hard drive, dvd burner etc for $200 less......grrrr.....is there much difference in the processor or these two laptops if everything internal is the same?

Not anything noticeable in performance between those CPU's, no.

But too bad that you missed the deal. Sometimes you should not "hurry up and buy" :)
Isn't there anything you can do to return your current notebook?

The T5870 would be about 7% faster when both were running at 100% CPU use. Its not all that common to run at 100% use for more than a few seconds at a time so I wouldn't worry to much - they would be nearly the same in in day to day use.

Its a same that you missed the deal but performence wise you didn't lose much.
