I've found a good laptop, but it comes with a t5800, 2.0 GHz.

    1) Will this be enough for some graphic applications? Just Photoshop mainly and some other high-end 3D programs.

    2) Will a P8400 2.26 GHz be noticeably better? There's an ~$200 difference between the processors.

Stick with the T5800 the performance difference is not that large between the two processors, and its surely not worth $200 difference

I would actually buy it with the cheapest processor option.
Than I would buy this guys P8400 for $150

You will save money and get the better processor.

I would buy the p8400. I have a t5800 and im upgrading it to a p8400 some time this week. Not only is the p8400 faster but it uses less power saving battery life.
