( I modified the processors in the title, the first 2 responses can be ignored, thanks guys)

    Intel® Core™ Penryn T6670 2.2GHz

    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T6400 (2.00GHz/800Mhz FSB/2MB

    3GB RAM on both systems.

Notebook used for Internet, HD internet streaming of video, and Word Processing.

I have never even heard of the Penryn. It doesnt even show up on an internet search.

The Penryn would come with NVIDIA® GeForce™ 9600M GS 512MB video card.

The T6400 would come with a256MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 video card.

Is the GeForce an integrated card? Since it is 512, does it make a lot better than the Radeon?

What would the percentage difference in performance?

    Same price.

They are the exact same processor, except for the L2 cache, which you will not be using very much of with the apps you listed. "Pentium Dual Core" is essentially a poor man's Core 2 Duo; they are the same processor, just the PDC lacks some features of the C2D.

Not worth it, stick with the T4200. I'd guess less than a 5% difference in CPU performance.

I disagree. T6400 would use less power than T4200 and Nvdia 9600M GS is better than the ATI one so go for the one for T6400. Your getting much more compared to the other for 50 bucks.

The CPU's will use similar amounts of power. The Pentium Dual Core is the same as a Core 2 Duo, minus the cache. Both have Intel's SpeedStep technology unlike a Celeron, and 35W of TDP.

I don't know GPU benchmarks off the top of my head, but perhaps your $50 is invested better with nVidia.
