So I'm looking into upgrade options for the T7100 in my Fujitsu T4220 tablet. I'm leaning towards either a T9300 or a T9500. The T9300 is obviously the better value but I came across this ebay listing for a T9500:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Intel-Core2-DUO-Penryn-T9500-2-6G-800-6M-SLAYX-478P-CPU_W0QQitemZ120367788868QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0
The proc is listed as SLAYX which seems like the correct "version". However, the price seems a little low and it's also coming out of Hong Kong. Does this listing look legit? Thanks for any input

The guy has like a hundred of them in the image. He must work at Intel, and than sells them on the side. Judging by his 2000 sales, he must be pretty reputable.
The only thing I will question is this:
Setp Code: SLAYX (ES Final Same as original exactly)
he doesnt say if its OEM or ES
I think its an ES chip, from the picture below.
Usually a retail chip only says T9500 2.6Ghz, 800MHz on it

Thanks, that's what I was thinking. Probably an ES especially since its so much cheaper than the retail version.
This cpu is listed as revision C0. Is that the most recent revision for a T9500 ES? -
ES chips do not support temperature monitoring. So if you were to use this cpu in your laptop, you will not be able to read cpu temperatures.
This can be a problem, but its really the only downside to ES chips.
I dont know if its the last revision, but none of them are going to support temperature monitoring.

This proc might be a pretty good deal. The markings on the bottom of the proc say FF80576T9500/2.60/6M/800 which match what the markings are supposed to be for a SLAYX according to this info. This is assuming the pic in the auction is accurate. The CPUID string also matches. Also, after some additional research, the C0 revision is the same revision as the retail T9500's. I'm tempted to pick up one of these T9500's over a retail T9300 on newegg.

I didnt know that. Everyone on the boards say that ES chips dont support temperature monitoring, so I was just relaying that information.

I think you'll find if it is a final es version then it wil show the temps, the es final version is the same as the retail oem chip just cheaper !!
Always buy a final version es with same revision, stick to those rules and you cant go wrong, ive never had a bad one yet.
