    Dear all,

I would like to know the battery life for my Inspiron 1420 if I upgrade my T7100 processor to T9500. Will it be improved?

As for T9500 and T9300, are they consume the same power? AFAIK, 35W TDP is not the actual power consumes by the processor.

    Rgds,
    giangpoh

my current T7100 runs at 1.8GHz and T9500 runs at 2.6GHz. I'm wondering the 800MHz difference will improve the battery life

20%-30% is the corporate shpiel you're more likely to see something around 10-15... Giangpoh, the 1.8ghz to 2.6ghz isn't what makes the difference in battery life its the processor architecture...

There's no point forking out the extra for a T9500 over a T9300, the difference is 100MHz and the price difference runs into 3 figures of USD.

The T9500 really really isn't worth it.
