I don't know what to do. I looked at many threads about these processors on Notebook Forum and I still don't know what to do. I want to use my laptop for some games (need for speed, enemy territory and stuff) and for videos, music, web.
But not for rendering or video encoding. My main concern is: does the 2MB L2 cache and the 0.2 ghz make enough difference for $50 or 35 euro's?

    Plz help!

gmaes dont use the processor much so he wont see this difference and hard drives only reduce loading speeds so that also doesnt impact playing a game

Thx for quick response :D. And the drives are both 5400 rpm. And I think I 'll go for the T7250 now. But the 2MB L2 vs 4MB L2 makes much difference in games?
(I don't really care for the 0.2 Ghz, because I can overclock and 0.2 Ghz isn't much)

Yes but you can overclock the 7500 also. I think the $50 is a good price and I would go for it as HDD's can be easily upgraded by user, CPU's just a little more dangerous. But those who said you won't notice are likely correct so do what you think best. As a rule of thumb the extra 2MB's of L2 adds about 10% at same speed on CPU intensive tasks. The .2 Ghz is about 10% also so 20% total.

The 7250 has only 2mb of cache, where the T7500 has higher clock speed and 4mb of cache. For only $50 more, you would enjoy much better performance in programs which utilize 100% processing power, like crunching numbers and such.

I agree that the $50 would be better to spend on a faster harddrive, but the hdd is much easier to upgrade and replace than the processor. Basically if you do not want to take your system completely apart, you are stuck with the processor you choose. The hdd at max has only two screws for replacement, and replacing a hdd is as simple as 1-2-3.

I would go for the processor

I think I decided and I'll go for the T7250, because your only real argument for the processor is that upgrading the HDD is much easier. But I'll search on the internet for tutorials for how-to replace the processor. And I now think 20% isn't worth $50, because games don't use 100% CPU all the time (right?).
Thx for everything! :D :) :notworthy:
