I'm in a mood of upgrading every single bit of my notebook.

This time I was thinking about the cpu.

Its a T7500 @ 2.2 ghz which has always done the job perfectly, yet I want to upgrade it, make my machine faster.

I was personally thinking about the T9500 which is possibly the most powerful upgrade i CAN do.. cause of the fbs 'bottleneck'.

    My questions:

-Will I have a noticable difference when gaming?
-Will it actually speed up my system?
-Will it run cooler since its a different proces.
-Are there better options as: another cpu? cheaper/stronger etc?

Overall: Is it worth the effort and money?

    thx.

A CPU upgrade only pays off if you are currently maxing out your CPU. You can check with ctrl-alt-del if you do.

The large majority of games will be limited by the Nvidia 9500GS long before they'll be limited by the 2.2GHz T7500.

Since you have an Acer laptop you may be able to upgrade your GPU.

An SSD upgrade is the easiest way to speed up your system (not games fps).

I ordered a HD 4650 mobility yesterday. :) So besides that, worth it?

You'll need to tell what games you are playing.

And I won't be able to tell you if a CPU upgrade will increase fps in those games, other people will.

LOL what is so great about SSD. It just speeds up loading of games and OS but doesn't improve actual FPS in games. Yes if i were u, i'd get the T9500, but if ur comp supports X9000, get that....
