Hi. I'm about to order a Zepto laptop but I before I order it I have one final decision to make. I don't know if I should go for the T7700 or the T7500 processor. I want it to be as fast as possible but at the same time I don't know how much of a difference it will make and if it's worth spending about $140 on the T7700. Any advice?

Yes if you have unlimited money or is rich

maybe if u are doing video editing and have extra money which you do not know what to spend on

no if u are only going to play games with that

and certainly not if it is for office tasks

you're not likely to notice THAT much of a performance difference, but personally, i'd pocket the $140 and spend it on more ram or something else

Yeah well the thing is that I'll be doing some video editing, but I am mostly gonna use the laptop for gaming, office tasks and watching movies. I've settled for 2GB of ram and that is something I can upgrade later on. However, I can't upgrade the processor speed so I really have to make the best choice now. Is there any difference between the two processors when playing games?

And no, I do not have a lot of money and I'm not rich it all. I would hate the feeling of regretting that I didn't go for the T7700 tho, if it does make a difference in gaming.

You can upgrade the processor. Though yes, from a T7500 to a T7700 the performance difference will be small.

Ah I didn't know I could do that. Well, im not that good when it comes to this stuff. I remember that about 10 years ago tho, 200 mhz would make a huge difference but I guess it's not the same anymore...

Nope not the sam as processing power has eclipsed the speed at which us developers can adapt and take advantage of the new performance...

Also, I too would spend that $140 going with 4GB of RAM... You'll feel that for sure if you're video editing...

I've heard that the only way you can really see any difference with 4GB of ram is if you're using vista 64 bit. I'm gonna get Vista Home Premium 32 bit though.

Yup... on Vista 64 can use 4GB ram....

to the T7500/7700 question....NO and NO

T7300 is what i would say :D There simply isn't a need for the later 2 what ever your doing. :)

Get 3GB ram and a 7200rpm hdd is what i would say :D

Alright, thanks alot guys. It finally seems like I've managed to decided which one to get and I'm gonna go with the T7500, unless someone gives me a damn good reason to get the 7700 instead :p

I won't be able to get 4GB of ram tho, as that is way too expensive (about $400 more than the 2x 1024mb I'm gonna get). I can get 1x 2GB tho and maybe add a 1024 one... Does anyone know how much it would be adding 1024 myself?

Hey, are you argentinian or swedish? Or just a fan of ivan obolo?

Usually, getting the ram yourself is cheaper. Get the 1x2GB, It gives you an easy upgrade route. You could go for a larger or faster HDD though.

Depends on where he's from and how much cheaper the lowest cost ram is. Sometimes the price is about the same.

I'm Swedish and a big fan of Ivan Obolo ;)

Well, getting a 1x 2GB of ram is kinda expensive too. I have no idea how to install RAM memory myself and when I think about it, I wouldn't want to open the laptop up and break something in there. And I guess it would cost too much to get it done by a professional.

AIK, AIK finns i våra hjärtan, vi kallas för Black Army och vi står på Norra Stå.

Cheapest 2 GB stick is 1000Kr. Zepto wants 900Kr for the upgrade. Get it your self afterwards. And 1000kr for and upgrade to T7700 from T7300 ain't that much. We have 30-35% higher prices here. Relativeness, it ain't too expensive. You won't really need T7700 though.
