one is 170 the other is 200.. from what I learned LF80537GF0534MU is the part number while SL9U5 is sku number? they both have the same part number, both says Socket BGA479 which I think is micro fpga or w/e you call them.
somehow both links shows SL9U5, LF80537GF0534MU as P/N part number, now I am confused what to buy.

There is only one T7600G. It is PGA and the sspec is SL9U5. I think "LF80537GF0534MU" might refer to the fact that it's a retail package or something, but I'm not sure.
Either way if you just want to buy the chip, you can pretty safely just buy the cheaper one. You can typically find it cheaper on eBay, too, but you have to camp for one to show up. -
In what laptop you're going to use it? For that price you could buy X9100 C0 (requires pin-mod and ThrottleStop to rise the clocks), and for a bit more X9000 C0 (native support), where both would run cooler/clock higher than this one. Not to mention X9100 E0.

Any machine that takes a T7600G won't take an X9000 or X9100. The reverse is also true. These are different dies and packages made for different platforms. -
I remember only AW machines support oc the 7600G.....

XPS Dell M2010 is the machine I want to use it with. with socket mod or pin mod, maybe but im not that good and will not take risk. I own a HDX dragon and in the HDX owners thread there are very few individual able to pull it off, going from x9000 to another CPU (800 FSB to 1066) but I am obviously too scared to try that. the CPU jump in HDX, cpu was same socket just different FSB, however x9000 and T7600G have different amount of pins, it'll be much harder.
XPS 1700 use to support this CPU back in the days, it has bios support overclocking and adjusting multiplier. I am using it for XPS M2010 so I will have to use throttlestop to overclock it, it is confirmed to work. -
M2010 uses the older chipset, so no Penryn CPUs as far as I know
I was asking because 5920 was initially shipped with Meroms only, but then it got BIOS update to support Penryns as well.
Edit: Why not X7xxx then, no support for extreme CPUs as well? -

All x7000 CPUs are socket P. The t7600g is socket M, the only socket M processor with unlocked multipliers unless I'm mistaken.

Yeah, T7600G is basically the Extreme stand-in for Socket M without officially being an X-Series CPU. -
So he really is out of luck. And that's pretty rare CPU.
-
=( can't find it on ebay, have to look for them on google product from untrusted sites

Commander Wolf can i haz broadwell?
I mean yeah, there aren't any now; when I say "camp" I imply for days or weeks. Gotta work for it if you want a good deal
-
173 bucks for that? ... dude, just buy another laptop
-
Yeah, but M2010 is one of those that you can't let go easily. Having no successors makes it more than unique.
-
yea exactly lol, especially its right after I bought used one 2 weeks ago
I also purchased a used HDX dragon and up to x9000 for 240, I think this is worth it, for it's 20 inch lol
