Anyone tried this and have it work nicely? Do I need to reinstall Vista to let the cooling work properly?

Also does anyone have a video as to how a processor upgrade is done for a 6920G?

You can try to google for a video.
As far as the upgrading goes, it should work. You have to update the Bios though.
And I don't think you need to reinstall Vista again.

Why do I need to update The BIOS and where would I go for the update?

Because you upgrade the new CPU, so you would need a new BIOS.
You can get it from Acer website.

Yeah, why would he need to update the BIOS? The 6920G is a model that was created after the introduction of the Penryn processors. Should be supported out of the box (I didn't need a BIOS update when I moved to the T8300).

As for a video...no such luck.

I reinstalled Vista just to be on the safe side.

Its like Plug and Play....as for the video - nothing. Google around and you might find a service manual or something.
