    T9300 clock issue.

    I have a T9300 in my G1SN, and recently it has been clocking wierd. Depending on which program I use, the readings will be drastically different. I hope some of you will beable to assist me, and tell me what each program is trying to say. For the most part, it seem the multiplier is off, stuck at 6x, giving me a total clock of close to 1.2GHz.

    That is EIST kicking in (Normal). Read about it here.

    If you want to see your CPU at 2.5GHz, download Orthos and run Small FFTs, and Monitor using CPUz :)

    I tried what you told me to do, Orthos is claiming that i am indeed getting 2.5GHz, however CPUZ is still reading the 1.19GHz, if i switch to battery savings the multiplier increases to 8x, giving me over 1.5GHz. But performance mode is still stuck at the base 6x.

    Don't worry. EIST steps down the multiplier and voltage of the CPU when it is idle or not heavily utilized, to lower the power consumption. Once you run an intensive task, it'll go up to 2.5GHz.

    You can use RMClock instead of CPU-Z.

    Download cpu rightmark, (RMCLOCK) I think the latest version is 2.35
    go into the profiles tab, and select the multiplier to the highest one to force the system to run at the highest clock speed. You must set the profile you change to the one which teh system runs, in the profile selection tab.

    Er, did you not say though that using a Orthos load test should cause it to step up to 2.5? What im saying is i tried that, and the CPU still gets underclocked. I have also tried to use RMClock, and it tells me the same thing.

    *Edit: Another thing thats bothering me is the fact it is benchmarking much, much lower than lower spec'd CPU's using the Sandra CPUArithmetic test, it scored roughly 1/2-2/3 as high as a T7200.
