    T9300+9500M GS or T7700+8600GT

    I am thinking about buying a laptop with all the same except one has T9300+9500M GS and 4GB DDR and the other T7700+8600GT and 2GB DDR.
    Do you think that T9300+9500M GS and 4GB DDR its worth the extra 200$ from the one with T7700? I gain 9500GS and T9300 CPU but lose 8cell battery. Will there be a noticeable difference between those two? Because i could invest those extra 200$ in +2GB Ram ,TV tuner, mouse, bag etc. And the most important: Is the T7700+8600GT combo a lot hotter than the T9300+9500GS (10c+)?

    In my opinion, no contest. Go for the T9300 with the 9500M GS. Better card and processor especially if the GPU is DDR2 in the 8600. The 8600M GT is frought with problems, no matter what anyone tells you the cards aren't as good as they should be.

    Definitely T9300 +9500 GS
    If for gaming, then try to check what DDR do they have.
    If 9500 GS have DDR 3, then take his one. But if 9500 GS have DDR2, bur 8600 GT have DDR3 (if both have at least 256 Mb video RAM, bigger size in fat does not matter, it is more marketing thing. In most cases there is more marketing then more mega pixels for digital camera) then for gaming T7700+8600GT could be a little bit better, but you lose overall system speed (T9300 is newer and faster).
    About battery - T9300 system with the same battery should work some 10% longer, then T7700.

    I totally disagree!

    OK I don't it is a no brainer, like everybody said. So much better. I just wanted to disagree but I can't.

    You should be very happy with T9300 and 9500m GS. These are Asus's? Correct?

    My question for you is, the differences within the two are really quite small. Is it worth possibly 15% of your purchase?

    I disagree.
    The 9500GS is the same core as a 8600GT...
    "Better card and processor especially if the GPU is DDR2 in the 8600."The DDR2 version of the 8600GT is worse than any other version of it.

    Personally I say T7700 and 8600GT, The T7700 is Only 2.4ghz vs 2.5ghz But its not worth $200 extra, Instead invest in 2GB more ram , And all the TV tuner ect...

    Just make sure its infact A GDDR3 card your getting.

    does the T9300 and 9500GS come w/ anything the T7700 and 8600GT doesnt that you would buy? If so, it might be worth the extra 200 bucks to go w/ the 9300 9500 combo. If not, you could save ~125, with the 7700 and 8600 combo after upgrading ram which imo is worth it since the difference isnt a whole lot.

    Actually, I have an HP, a Dell, another Dell, a Sager and will probably get an Air/mini/wind thing.

    But my sugestion was indeed a Gateway. For the money, you just can`t beat that performance.
