For the Sager NP8660, which would be best?
    The P9500 is 35dollars more.
But what is the difference between the two? Just the Watts?
Watts aside, which one performs better overall? (I know it wont be noticeable, but what one performs better on the charts?)
Also how much more battery life will the P9500 get over the T9400?
    Thanks in advance.

    Go for the P9500.
The difference is just the TDP.
    Both provide identical performance.
Battery life depends. Running 'intensive tasks" on a P9500, which stress the cores good, when on battery, will give you a much better battery life than the T9400. Probably an extra half hour or more with the P9500.
When idle, battery life will be similar.

Oh okay so the most power the P9500 will use is 25watts while the T9400 will be running at 35watts doing the same intensive task.
Is it worth it for the 35dollars though?

I would think it is worth the extra $35, the performance will be the same, but it will yield better battery life with the more efficient P9500 cpu.

    I agree with K-TRON.

Its worth the extra battery life you will get for $35.

Better battery life, and also less heat output.

25 watts is the TDP. That does not mean it uses 25 watt.
Read the Wiki if you want to know what it means.

Not that I'm desperate to revive this thread, but I found the following article on the differences when I was looking into the same question, and thought it was very interesting (especially re performance difference between the T9400 and P9500).
