    T9500 is 800mhz FSB

    Can I drop in a T9400 that runs at 1066 will it downclock to 800?

    T9400 will not work on PM965, T9500 will work on PM45.

    Intel will not allow that to happen. Tried before T9400 in M570RU (Pm965) no boot. If put T9500 in PM45 then FSB is 800, not 1066.

    maybe it was just not supported in the BIOS.

    Because I recall seeing a forum member post that they got a 1066mhz FSB CPU working with the FSB @ 800mhz in PM965.

    Maybe. I also see several other people tried in different NBs, all no boot. I think most of the NB manufactur wouldn´t like to make a supported BIOS...
