    What is the difference in price? According to Intel's price list, those two cost the same amount of money (i.e. the T9800 is intended as a replacement for the T9600 at the same price point). The difference in performance is less than 5%, so if there's a difference in price, it's almost certainly a waste of money. Personally, I'd go for the P9600 at this point -- it should be quite a bit cheaper and only gives up about 10% performance for about 30% power usage.
