    HELLO ALL
I KNOW THAT P-SERIES CPUs HAS THE ADVANTAGE OF CONSUMING LESS POWER (LOW WATTAGE)THAN THE T-SERIES.
WHY ARE THE T-SERIES CPUs MORE EXPENSIVE ?
i.e. WHAT DOES THE T9600 GOT OVER THE P9600?
    THANK YOU

Please do not post in all caps - it is shouting.

The T9600 and the P9600 do not have the same specs. The T9600 is 2.8GHz and the P9600 is 2.66GHz. The P9600 may give you 15-20 minutes more battery life over the T9600. There is not much of a difference between the T and P series CPUs. Given a choice, I would take the T9600.

It sounds like underpowered cpu, thus, giving you little bit more battery life. I am just speculating.

Seems like the P9600 might be more cooler and have better stepping. Could possibly OC better.

P series I guess you could say is the real advancement of montevina. Lower power requirements, and in the future even smaller fabrication (45 -> 32nm). I didn't have the choice when I ordered my laptop in september, but if I knew it'd save me 15-20 minutes of battery life for very little performance drop I'd bite.

No Montevina (P7350 to T9800) processor will work in the T61p.
