Hey, I am looking to buy another computer from Dell, and I had a few hardware questions.
I have found a deal and there are two things that I need to get clarified.
One of the laptops has a:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core Mobile Technology TK-53
1GB DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz, 2 Dimm
The other laptop has a:
AMD Turion 64 X2 Dual-Core processor TL-50 (512KB/1.6GHz)
1GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 at 667MHz
The main issue here is that the 2nd laptop is $800 while the first laptop is $500. Is it worth the extra money.
I am a college student, and wont be playing games. I will be using it for internet and MS Word.
Thank you.

No, it's not worth the extra $300. The TK-53 is a 1.7GHz chip with 2x256k cache, much more than you need.

I assume this is the e1501? If you get it, make sure you configure it on the small business site, as it's much cheaper. I think the $549 one is the best deal right now.

I did a Google search and it took me to the Dell website where I quickly jumped on that deal. I'll see if I can find it and i'll post it here for you.
edit: Here you go I just found it !
