okay so i have a Sager NP2092 and LOVE it but im in a smaller apt now and got rid of my TV, i'm thinking about getting a TV tuner for it and here is what i would like to know.
1. is it possible to get the one that is built in AFTER purchase? ie, it had the option but i said now, now i say yes lol
2. since 1. probably won't happen, what is a better way to go? the pci port or use one of my USB ports (which are all used up)
3. what good tuners could i get for 30-50$ range that would work with WMC (im running win 7 ultimate)
thanks for helping me out!

It's possible, there are mini PCIe tv tuners on ebay.
You have to open the notebook and check if there is an empty mini PCIe slot.
Avermedia tuners are cheap on ebay, 30-50 just like you want. Try to get one that comes with an antenna.
You will probably have to take apart the notebook fully to properly install the antenna, if one is not already in your notebook.
A usb tuner would be an easy option if you dont want to open your notebook. -
is there are guide that would tell me where exactly the PCIe mini plug in would be? i've taken this baby apart a few times and noticed a few hookups just taped down, i'm assuming the TV tuner would be that because it's really the only option that could have been built in that i didn't opt to go for

is this what your talking about?

okay so i have found a tear down guide which of course i didn't need cause i didnt realize i had an OPEN PCIe port under the main door. the only thing i am curious on now is the teardown guide does not talk about the coaxial port. i have the antenna cable as well as the 6pin thingy that plugs into the side of the tuner card, but is there a coaxial port under the cover on the side of the 2092 or do i have to buy one of those as well? i am not sure how to safely remove this cover without damaging it if there is no port and i need to put it back on
-
^^okay screw all that lol^^
here is where i am at now. i took off the cover of where i thought a coaxial port would be and discovered what is in the image below. SO my question to you or anyone out there NOW is...
What cables to i need in order to get the signal from a coaxial port in my bedroom wall send to my laptop?!?!?!?! thank you very much for whoever replies
