    Taking out Ram from Dell Inspiron 1520 and putting into HP Laptop?

    Is it possible to take the Ram out of the Dell Inspiron 1520 and put into a HP pavillion dv6000? is there a certain type of RAM that the laptop takes?

    Yep. As long as they both use DDR2 memory(which they do), it will fine. Just to play it safe, I would run a memory test with Memtest86+ when you install the ram into the HP laptop.

    If you are looking for deals on ram, also check out the hot ram deals thread(look at the first and last couple of pages)...ram is pretty cheap.
