What is the purpose of a memory card reader? I am looking for a laptop and they give me two options: Internal 4-in-1 Card Reader (SD/MMC/MS/MS PRO) or 45-in-1 USB 2.0 Card Reader/Writer. The second choice costs fifty bucks more so I'm guessing its a better memory card reader, but is it worth it?

From the details, the former is built in, the latter is external. So you're just paying $50 for an external USB card reader, if I interpretated it correctly.
