Am considering a new mobile workstation, business grade, of course. Been looking for a while at the Thinkpad W530 with a FHD screen vs the Dell Precision M6700 with its IPS screen. My current screen is an older Thinkpad IPS but I love its color quality and the broad range of view-ability, where several people can view it at the same time.

I know the IPS on the Precision is probably the best option in terms of quality (and, yes, I've heard about the "screen tints" on the edges of some/many of the IPS panels; not a big deal for me), so I'd like to know how these two screens match up head to head.

Has anybody got screen shots of the two side by side?

How does the W530 compare on viewing angles, color quality (accuracy, natural look, etc.)??

    All pertinent feed-back welcome!

The Dreamcolor II display used in HP's EliteBook workstations is the best of all, though the Precision's is a very close second. The Lenovo's is good as well but trails the other two.

Yes, I've heard the DreamColor II screen is also very nice, but what about it's format of squeezing an 8-bit video processor onto a 10-bit screen?? Doesn't that produce some lag time in video processing??
