On first look at the photos, I had thought that it is a cell phone battery! :p LOL! :D

It definitely doesn't look like a SSD or even a HDD!

Almost could be for a large phone.

Its roughly 4.75x2.2x.4 inches. Won't need massive cargo pants for these :D

Meh. Should be eSATA/USB. Much more prevalent.

Having an external SSD seems to be getting things the wrong way around to me. If your laptop has only one hard drive slot, you put the SSD there and use an external mechanical HDD for capacity rather than speed.

it actually does look quite nice and thin.. would love buying it if i had the cash.. but it doesn't work with e-SATA..and my laptop doesn't have USB3.0... anyways , are there other external USB3.0 SSD's?

Why not just get a normal SSD and pop it into an eSATA compatible enclosure?

Even with e-sata max performance from the ssd would be around 140MB/s read although the writes would still fare the same. I checked this out earlier today with my Intel as the external and the OWC Merc Extreme inside...

it's cool and all i saw this drive awhile ago. But like others have said it's kinda pointless. Most people install thier ssd drive internally and use a 1TB+ external drive for mass storage. I have a 1.5TB external drive and while its really big and bulky and needs AC power to operate it doesnt leave my desk at home. I load whatever I need onto my 320GB of internal SSD space before i leave. Thesse will most likely only sell to a rly tiny niche market. I hope OCZ isnt mass producing these in the 100,000's.
