I remember that the last C2D was delayed due to delayed certification from the FCC. But why should other countries follow? Do computers and other electronics sold in Europe, Japan, China and 3rd world countries need to be certified by the FCC?

    Good question.
I suppose technically no - as it EU regulations in the EU.
But: What happens if a customer moves that product to the US?

(I couldn't be bothered as I stay in Eurpe all the time anyway... and possibly will do so in the next decades)

    However:
Companies like to release products on the US market first - don't aks me why.
This then may delay the European market.
