    Hello Folks

This thread is dedicated to find the latest and the best 15.6 60Hz FHD and the 15.6 UHD replaceable display panels available on the market. There is a lot of discussion on this topic already but the information is scrambled across multiple posts on multiple pages. This thread is dedicated to keep that information easily available and accessible in a sorted manner.

From what I could find for the 15.6 120Hz panels, there are currently two panels available:

B156HTN05.1(reportedly provided as an option on Alienware 15 R3 and available on few websites online).

B156HTN05.2(purchased by few/many members on the forum and also available on few websites online).

I believe these are the only two 15.6 120Hz FHD panels currently available on the market.

This thread is dedicated to identify the best 15.6 60Hz FHD and 15.6 UHD panels that are available on the market. Suggestions and experiences for the same are requested.

    Thanks

The best 4K are the Sharp IGZO panels color accuracy wise (these are terrible for gaming with like a 40ms response).

LQ156D1JX01B is the type of panel I'm referring to with 100% srgb coverage.

I believe this should be LQ156D1JX01B. Thanks.

Coming back to 15.6 60Hz FHD panels, I believe there is some confusion between two panels from AUO:

    B156HAN01.1 and B156HAN01.2

    http://www.panelook.com/modelcompare.php?ids=19049,19048

The point to be noted here is that panelook.com is refrencing Datasheet Version "HW1A_Ver1.0" for B156HAN01.2 and "HW1A_Ver0.1" for B156HAN01.1. However there have been newer Versions released post(for both the panels) these specifications were posted by panelook.com(as it appears to me):

This leads me to believe that the specifications on panelook.com for these two panels may not be accurate. Also, B156HAN01.2 was last manufactured in 2015 so should be more commonly available in comparison to B156HAN01.1.

Is there any way to officially confirm if B156HAN01.2 revision 3A has eDP 1.3 or eDP 1.1a and which one would be the better panel between the two.

    Thanks

After all that I could find I believe that anyone who is looking for the AUO B156HAN01.1/B156HAN01.2 should buy the B156HAN01.2(specifically revision 3A) as this panel is the one that has been provided as stock in some of the latest laptops and 1.1 will anyways be very difficult to find.

Another panel of interest is the LP156WF6-SPB2 which is provided as stock on the Alienware 15 R3(any many other high end gaming laptops). This seems to be next in line to the LP156WF6-SPB1 which is largely available online. I believe this is close to concluding the 15.6 FHD 60Hz panel search.
