Wishful thinking, much?
-
Huh? What notebook is this?

Jayayess1190 Waiting on Intel Cannonlake
By then bluetooth 3.0 will be out.
-
i think hes crazy
-
It's not that far out. We've already got LED, Penryn is just around the corner, you can get 4 GIG RAM, though not at 800 MHz yet (well, you can, but it's pointless to do so), you can get a 128 GB SSD if your last name is Rockefeller or Gates, the X4500 is I believe the next chipset, Wireless N final will be here soon, and the fingerprint reader, webcam, eSATA, and Windows are already out. I've even got the webcam already
.
It's looking too far ahead, though, unless you're made of money. Might as well focus on the more-near future. And 8 hours will only be on reduced brightness. -
Good luck.
-
I believe I'll be able to pick up one of these by this time next year for 3K. What do you think??
I'm getting a laptop on black friday to keep me over until this time next year when i go all out -
-
There are a whole bunch of dreamers here...
-
Oh is that all?! im getting...
15.4" LED Backlit widescreen (no border around the screen)
6-8 GHz Quad Processor
12 GB DDR6-1800
640-1280 GB SSD Drive
Integrated WiMAX, Wireless N (final rev.), Bluetooth 5.0, & TPM
DNA Reader
Webcam 11 MP
eSATA port
Secret Microsoft Super OS -
HAHAHA...the possibilities are endless...but I regret to inform you all of the fact that you're all behind, my friends.
Holographic screen creator. No need for some plastic contraption glued to some cheap glass sheet. Instead, why not just switch to a hologram-emitter with a screen that can be downsized from 15.4" to a 50" widescreen display?
If that's TOO far into the future, let's just go w/ the 15.4" OLED display that'll become reality by 2010. 10,000:1 contrast (Samsung and Sony are able to manufacture it, though Sony is only going to be able to manufacture 1,000 a month by end of this year. Currently rated to be 3 credit cards thick)
8 GHz Octo-Core Processor - Minimized power consumption. Unique in this CPU is its ability of all 8 cores to function as one core when running applications that can only read one core...thus resulting in cases in which the CPU appears to be running with 32ghz clockspeeds.
12 GB DDR6-1800 - Probably completely unnecessary with such drastic processing power...but hey...if it's ram, you can never have too much!
640-1280 GB SSD Drive - I think if this were possible to make this today, it would cost thousands just to make even one.
Integrated *Enhanced* WiMAX (capable of reaching original WiMAX transmitters from thousands of miles away), Wireless Super-N, Bluetooth 5.0
Webcam 11 MP
eSATA port
Windows 7 - Synchronized A.I. Edition. OS combined w/ laptop technology will be capable of decrypting my brainwaves and utilizing them to complete tasks quickly and efficiently. There won't be any need for a biometric fingerprint scanner since my brainwave signature will be unique. Thus there won't be a need for extra fingerprints!!

Anyone that thinks that "the notebook i'm going to buy" is something that's impossible for something 12 months from now hasn't watched computer techonology over the last 5-10 years. Anyone that has knows it's very likely.

Jayayess1190 Waiting on Intel Cannonlake
My 2009 13 inch notebook for college will have:
13 inch LED screen (or 14 inch like the new Fujitsu)
Blu-ray drive
32nm Nehalem processor
128GB SSD Drive
Nvidia 10000 series Graphics card and Intel intergrated graphics (hybrid like on the SZ)
Windows Vista Home Premium,1 year before Windows 7 comes out
USB & Bluetooth 3.0
N wireless
Fingerprint reader
Microsoft Office 14 (supposedly being released in 1st half 2009)
Sub 4lb weight with 6 cell battery -

-
Get the BitMicro 416GB SSD with 100MB/s read/write, it's going to be out soon, by 2009 it will probably *only* be $10,000. Lol.
-
Oh, and mine isn't? OLED technology is closer down the road than you think! The only "unrealistic"(or, is it?) part about my notebook was the AI edition of windows, LOL. The rest is probably 2-3 years down the road, imminent. -
Rofl 8GHz octo core?? DDR6? 1terabyte SSD? Holographic display? Wireless that has a range of thousands of miles? In 2-3 years?
Keep dreaming kid... -
Ok, so I exaggerated! Hehe.
-
Everything is relative...
I want a notebook with following spec
Variable CPU, variable speed, variable core with variable FSB
Variable RAM: variable MHZ
Variable HD of variable type
Variable number of variable type of GPU
Variable screensize with variable resolution with variable brightness and thickness -

told you guys i would have my notebook by next year!! -
Commander Wolf can i haz broadwell?
Personally I think the most unrealistic thing on the list is the 5lb package and 8 hour battery life. Battery weight and life just doesn't seem to be making any headway these days...
The notebook I'm going to buy :) :)
