I had two AMD A6 Notebooks and HP and an Dell version both had flickering lines at the very top of the screen and half way down also, After years of Intel only i really wanted to give AMD a chance but they blew it.

Yes, it's an interesting read. I did not realize that the reason Fusion was delayed so long was because the lithography was not suited for it until a later process. It's really too bad -- the idea was visionary (practically everyone has moved to CPU/GPU hybrids nowadays), but they just couldn't execute and their competitors beat them to the punch. I am curious to see what will come of HSA.

There, I fixed it for you! AMD didn't put together the notebooks, HP and Dell did. I've had a mostly positive experience with my APU-equiped Lenovo e425. I can only hope things improve everywhere.

Oh and thanks for posting the article Helios22! Fantastic.

Edit: I read the entire article & I really enjoyed it. It was well written & easy to understand. A lot of the things in there I had no idea about. It gave me a better understanding of what's going on behind the scenes at AMD now & what happened in the past too. I guess I still have a lot to learn about computers & the industry & I find it fascinating to know where a lot of it came from. It makes me appreciate the past, what's available now & what's to come in the future.

The more I think about it now, I kind of wish I would've gotten into computer science & information technology right after high school. I am 25 years old & an automotive technology graduate with a passion for cars but computer technology has become my passion as well just from personal/self learning. I'm considering going back to school & by taking that first step towards something I actually enjoy learning about. Its the same reason why I decided I wanted to learn more about cars & pursue that industry. As I've said before, cars will eventually just be computers on wheels (& eventually off the ground) as we transition from mechanical to electronic.

    Thanks for the inspiration!
