I was honestly never impressed with Grizzly pastes...but maybe it was just me. Obviously a lot of people have really good luck with them, but in my laptops I just went back to what worked for me, and it wasn't Grizzly unfortunately. I have seen so many people on Reddit who have had similar experiences with Kryonaut and Conductonaut that I just don't recommend them anymore. In the grand scheme of things most of the high end pasts are so close temp wise that unless you HAVE to get the absolute lowest temps then they are all going to perform well enough. I would rather have a paste that lasts me a long time vs something I have to reapply once a year or more but gets me 1c cooler temps.

Obviously users like iUnlock have had great success with Grizzly so it can work well, but I think you have to be willing to put in a lot of extra time for balancing and what not to get those results. I am not that hardcore, I am just an average user. I just want to take it apart, slap new paste in there and button it back upLast edited: Oct 8, 2020Dr. AMK and Spartan@HIDevolution like this. -
If you can't get an improvement with it then its two things that stop it from work. The cooling capacity is already saturated and can't move more heat or the heatsink is in bad shape (warped or/and not flat).
Even consoles come with LM now... PlayStation 5 uses liquid metal
Heat management is a huge part of engineering any electronics system. And Sony obviously emphasized the importance of cooling during the PS5’s design phase. This might result in the PS5 running cooler and quieter. But more important, it should enable the system to run demanding games without crashing.
And LM will be more important as time come, the more the shrinking sickness continue stay up. You simply can't fill a 5l bag with 7l water (where the 5l is the chassis and the 7l is the heatsink).Last edited: Oct 8, 2020 -
I understand people are complaining about Kryonaut longetivity but i never had this problem. Maybe it's related to a uneven heatsink since this paste is so soft.
Edit: i never had a problem with kryonaut but i never had this paste more then 2 months on my laptops. Maybe if i kept it longer it would have deteriorated...i don't know.Last edited: Oct 8, 2020Dr. AMK, Papusan and Fire Tiger like this. -

Kryonaut just isn’t that good.
This is a test I ran a few weeks ago over the course of a week between 5 different pastes to test T9+ and Kryonaut was last.....again.

But i have repasted since (many times) using the X method (very thin) gave me a -1 to -2C (-1.5C) compare to freshly apply kryonaut on my GPU.Papusan likes this.
