I have a CLEVO P870TM1-G and have been thinking on sticking some "mini" heat sinks to the preinstalled heat sink to improve temperatures. I already have the mini heat sinks but I don't have any thermal adhesive left to install them so I was wondering if there's an alternative to this. I was thinking on just using thermal paste or maybe double-sided tape, but I'm not really sure if those are good options. I read somewhere that I could use thermal epoxy (AS has one) but I don't want them to be permanently installed.

Found some M3 double sided thermal tape so I used that. Had some trouble with the back cover height so I couldn't use all of the heat sinks, only the small ones which I only had 5 lol, I guess some is better than nothing. Also changed the thermal paste cause it was a mess, it was spilled all over the die. So far I've noticed at least 5 C less in normal use (youtube, websites, etc). Took some pictures of the process.

There was already some type of tape installed but the thermal paste got under it and did a mess, I replaced it mainly to keep the substrate clean cause it was kinda annoying to clean lol

What's you configuration for your 1080 SLI?, I played a little with the fan curve on MSI AB but the improvement was very little. There are some titles I can't play because the GPU gets too hot even with Vsync enabled.

    Thanks!

Just go with Mr. Fox guide and you will feel the difference. Undervolte to 0.9 and will play any title without any issues.

How do I do that? Is it safe? Does it work with any GTX 1080?

I used that method a few weeks ago but it didn't work well, but Mr. Fox video did help a lot, specially to unlock voltage control, I've seen at least 10 C less on some stuff, which is great.

    Thanks.
