I have been playing crysis2 on my notebook a Medion see signature, it only has an Intel HD3000 so i can only play it at 800x600 at gamer setting, and it is very playable.

Anyway my notebook came with an 65watt psu, and according to my kilowatt meter, it`s pulling 55watts when playing crysis2 and the psu is getting hot.

I have read that a psu works best at around 40-60% load and when they get very hot the components will deteriorate quickly and fail.

My psu is rated at 19v at 3.42amp with an 5.5 x 2.5mm plug, I managed to find an new original Toshiba 120watt with an 5.5 x 2.5mm plug 19 Volts

    4.74 Amps for around £15

This should work ok with my notebook right?

    Thanks

    John.

You do not need a larger PSU, the one you mentioned will work though.

I would simply put the PSU on a (modified) notebook cooler. :)

Generating the heat is not the issue - dissipating it efficiently is.

I have to agree.. your PSU is more than enough... Its way better then the G73 PSU which is 150W when the notebook pulls close to 170-180W...
