    Hi all,

I have a few questions about the ThinkPad USB 3.0 Ultra Dock and would love some help. I recently got a Lenovo Ideapad 700 with a core i7 6700HQ. This laptop is more powerfull than my old PC and I am thinking of selling my PC and buying this docking station.

I plan on connecting the following peripherals to the dock:
    • Keyboard and mouse in the two USB 2.0 ports
    • Full HD monitor in the Display port
    • TV in the HDMI port
    • External HDD in the USB 3.0 port
    My questions are:
    • I know that the theoretical bandwith of USB 3.0 is 625MB/s and it should be enough for all my peripherals, but will the dock be able to transfer large files from one external HDD to another at the maximum write speeds of the disks which is 100MB/s?
    • Does the dock transfer sound through the HDMI port?
    • I plan to do a small amount of gaming on my laptop (SC2 mainly), will the dock be some sort of a bottleneck and lower my FPS?
    Thanks in advance!
